eread.com has had an interesting history. The site has been around since 1996. The first eread.com focused not only on selling paperback and hardcover books, but also on providing a venue for users to publish their writings online, in personal "bookshelfs" (online publishing was new in 1996). Now eread.com provides information on useful digital products related to ereading. Online education and literacy is one of our primary missions with sales of retail products such as ebooks, and ebook readers used to fund other efforts. Users build much of the content in eread.com. Site visitors read and comment on stories, articles and other site users' comments. Registered users send us useful information such as recipes for inexpensive meals, and traveling "on a dime". eread.com is part of a cycle of websites: - LayoffsUSA.com
- OffshoringUSA: learn how to market yourself and skills to compete for offshore work opportunities
- RetrainingUSA.org: all the information and discussion topics you need to know to retrain to get work today
- EreadUSA.com: learn to read and improve your communication skills, while collecting free e-books, e-texts, and purchase electronic readers such as Amazon's Kindle
It costs money each month to operate eread.com and it's affiliate sites, covering costs such as: web hosting space, server administration, programming and website design. If you can make a small contribution towards keeping eread.com live, thank you.
